Here are a few fresh ideas for Sunday’s get-togethers.  Superbowl parties are often full of junk food so this year why not add something different to the mix? Instead of so many bags of chips, buffalo wings, and brownies from a box, add some flair with the amazing color and flavor of raw food!  Try these easy recipes:

Hemp Seed Ranch (This recipe is adapted from I am Grateful, Terces Englehart)
1 cup Hemp Seeds (available at health food stores)
1/2 cup sunflower or pumpkin seeds, soaked
1 cup water
1/4 cup cold pressed olive oil
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
1-2 garlic cloves
1/2-1 jalepeno pepper (depending on how spicy you like it!!)
2 tbsp. Nama Shoyu or Coconut Secret Coconut Aminos
1 tbsp. dried dill
Salt & Pepper to taste
Blend all ingredients until creamy.  Serve with crudites or over greens.

Cajun Spice Nut & Seed Mix
1 cup Raw Pecans, soaked
1 cup Raw pumpkin seeds, soaked
Cajun Spice Mix
Rinse and drain nuts and seeds. Mix thoroughly with the cajun spice mix. Dehydrate at 105 degrees for 12-18 hours or completely dry. If you do not have a dehydrator, you can bake these on the lowest temperature possible in your oven.

Cacao-Coconut Balls
2 cups Raw Pecans
1/2 cup Raw Almonds
3/4 cup Cacao Powder (Raw, preferably)
3 tbsp. Coconut Oil
1 tsp. Vanilla
1/2 cup Dates, pitted & chopped
pinch mineral rich salt
fine coconut flakes for rolling
Process the nuts in a food processor until finely ground. Add the remaining ingredients except coconut flakes. Process until well combined. Form the cacao mixture into balls and roll in coconut flakes.

Have fun on Sunday and feel great on Monday with these delicious, healthy snacks!
