I have recently been searching raw food sites for new ideas as I work towards a new theme for Genesis Raw Food.  Actually, I am not trying to find other ideas to put in my own site as much as I am trying to find a niche that needs to be filled by an enthusiastic raw foodist.  There are so many sites out there, and most of them offer mostly the same great things:  how to get started guides, free recipes and other resources, eBooks for sale, stories and testimonials of others who have found a renewed sense of self by going raw, etc.  There are also many sites out there that combat the positive side of going raw such as articles on why the raw food diet is dangerous, deficient, or a disguise for eating disorders.  While the former sites offer such promises for weight loss, new and healthier eating habits, or emotional and physical release and/or healing, we have to be careful to not take these good things to a level where the latter mention of articles begin to describe what we have become just by trying to do something good for ourselves!  Believe me, if you struggle with an obsession with food, you may have a tendency to become obsessed with anything.  If this is the case, ideas and views of even some of the most respected raw food leaders could be dangerous to you.   But don’t worry!  I have an obsessive personality, and I have learned through a series of bumps and bruises that you can lose the eating disorder, learn to tame obsessive-compulsive personality habits, and go raw all at the same time!
